Patricia (Pat/Patsy) Compton Knox, 82, died Feb. 7, 2025.

She was born in Selma, Alabama to William and Sally Compton.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dan; her children, Shannon, Kelley and Chris (Krista); her grandchildren, Sawyer, Griffin and Hudson; her brother, Bill; and her nephews, Hunter and Jud.

Wherever Pat went, she developed relationships, loving people from all over the country and world.

Pat was a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College and Auburn University. An active charter member of South County Baptist Church, she served many roles throughout the years. She was passionate about life long learning, researching her ancestry, travel, sports and musical artsists.

Her career in theater, research and radio is all trumped by her treasured role as a wife, mother and “Gigi” to her grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the South County Baptist Church Building Fund (St. Louis, MO) or St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness (SLOCA).

Funeral services will be held at South County Baptist Church, 12995 Tesson Ferry Road, on Feb. 15, 2025. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., with a service to follow at 11 a.m. Services will also be streamed online via YouTube; the link can be found at https://www.southcountybaptist.com

Burial will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Feb. 18, 2025. Procession will meet at Kutis Funeral Home (Lemay Ferry) at 1 p.m.
