Obituary For Othaniel Cousins
Othaniel (OT) Cousins died July 3 with his wife Pauline holding his hand. OT was born Nov. 2, 1942, in Halls, Tennessee to Martha (Mattie) and Leroy Cousins. He married Pauline July 8, 1961, and they had one daughter, Wendy (Jerry) Eastman. The couple has three grandchildren: Carly (Dale) Webb, Barclay (Marie) and Maxwell (Derrick). They have three great-grandchildren — Jackson, Lucille and Ruby, who will miss growing up with him in their lives. OT was a proud member of Meatcutter’s Local 88 and the FAC. He worked at Liberty, Bettendorf, Tom Boy and Shop ‘n Save. He loved playing sports and was very competitive, but volleyball was his favorite. He was a great armchair coach and loved football. He also loved flowers, birds and music. He played the bass and loved Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. He was trustworthy, kind, good, caring and sweet. He lived life large, he loved hard, he worked hard, played hard and partied hard. He lived life to the fullest and had no regrets. We here left behind will love and miss him forever.
