Lilly “Marie” Lamb, 92, of Oakville died June 27, 2025.

Marie was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Lamb, Sr.; the devoted mother of Janet (Daniel) Sohn, the late Thomas, Jr. (Paula Gaertner), Jeannine Lamb (Mark Schade) and Ann Lamb; the dear grandmother of Hayley Branch, Cecily James, Michael Lamb and Sophia Lamb; and the great-grandmother of Elizabeth James and Marie Branch.

Marie was a first-generation American, born to John and Natalina Farotto on June 6, 1933. She graduated from St. Alphonsus Rock High School in 1951, where she was voted best dancer in her class.

Marie married Thomas Lamb, Sr., in 1956. Together, they owned two restaurants: The Brass Lamp and later, The Shell Café. She loved cooking, and in her retirement, she continued to prepare meals for her parish priests and family. She led a busy and happy life, took up yoga, traveled, and was active in her garden, book and quilting clubs. She will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Visitation will be held on July 16 from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Church, 4900 Ringer Road. Mass will follow from 11 a.m. to noon.
