Jeanine L. Ashwell, 79, died Aug. 14.

Beloved wife of the late Wayne Ashwell for 55 years; daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Lony; beloved mother of Susan (Mark) Schraut and Scott (Tracey) Ashwell; cherished grandmother of Sarah, Emily, Megan, Andrew, Kaitlyn (Zach), Erin and Colin; sister of the late Sharon (Charles) and the late Darrel (Joyce); dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Jeanine attended the Deaconess School of Nursing, graduating in 1965, and went on to work at St. Anthony's Medical Center.

She was a longtime member of Prince of Peace UCC and the longtime president of Women's Fellowship. She also served as a board member of the Sappington-Concord Historical Society.
