Obituary For James F Lovins Sr.
U.S. Veteran. James Frederick Lovins Sr., 81, of St. Louis, died Oct. 28 at 10 p.m. due to complications suffered from a stroke. James was born April 25, 1939 in St. Louis to Frederick Lovins and Maria Patestas. He married Judith Mueller Aug. 8, 1959 in St. Louis. He served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1964, loved to sing and was a soloist at Advent and Hope Lutheran churches, as well as choir director at the latter. His occupations were in transportation and music retail, and he wrote many reviews of film and music under the moniker “Mr. Jim” online at Amazon. He is survived by his sons James Jr. and Joel; daughters Jeanna and Julia; grandchildren Nicholas, Alexis, Thomas and Avalon; and three great-grandchildren. A cousin, uncle, great-uncle and friend to many. Due to COVID-19, there are no plans for services at this time.
