Obituary For Ilene A. Marler

Ilene A. Marler, 79, died Feb. 10, 2025.

She was born on Sept. 9, 1945, in Qulin, Missouri.

After college, Ilene began her lifelong career at Anheuser-Busch, retiring as the Executive Assistant to the CEO.

Ilene and her husband, Dennis Marler, spent their retired years enjoying watching their grandchildren grow into successful adults and spoiling their pups.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Dennis Marler; her son, Michael (Heidi) Marler; her grandchildren, Austin, Andrew and Adam Marler and Kolby and Rachael Garris; her sisters, Donna Allen and Maxine Minyard; her in-laws, Fred Truelove and Judy Pleasant; and many nieces and nephews.

Ilene was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Vivian (Christie) Pleasant; and her siblings, Zindel Pleasant, Peggy King, Patsy Moore, Judy Truelove, Clyde Pleasant and Bobby Pleasant.

A memorial service will be held on Feb. 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance and honor the beautiful life Ilene lived.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Ilene’s memory.
