U.S. Veteran. Burial Date: May 18, 2019. Glenn Alvin Williams, 83, a 60-year resident of Oakville, died April 14, 2019, joining his wife of 48 years in eternal peace. He’s survived by his daughter Julie, who cared for them in their greatest time of need. Glenn was born April 21, 1935 to Japhet and Ruth Williams in Alabama. Glenn served his country in the U.S. Army and retired as a cartographer for the Defensive Mapping Agency after 34 years. He was also a leader in the surrounding mineral and fossil collecting community. He had a passion for geology and grew his collection into Williams’ Minerals. A beauty of a life lived! Glenn was a beloved husband to the late Agnes Wilma (nee Bauer) and father to Julie. A service was held for friends and family May 18, 2019 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.
