U.S. Veteran. Edna V. Dummerth (nee Frank), 93, died Oct. 8.
Mrs. Dummerth served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as part of the Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service. She was a lifetime member of the St. Louis Service Women’s Post No. 404.
Mrs. Dummerth was a proud member of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League and was inducted in the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1988.
She was the loving mother of Dennis (Sandy) Dummerth, Diane (Jerry) Waller, Donna Dummerth, Denise (the late Peter Horvath) Dummerth, Daniel (Cathy) Dummerth, Dale (Eva) Dummerth, Danette Cristel and Darlene Rapp; adoring grandmother of 27; and great-grandmother of 31.
Mrs. Dummerth was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Dummerth.
Visitation and services were at Kutis Affton Chapel with a Mass at St. Catherine Laboure. Interment was at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
