Obituary For Aaron Lee Patrick Cromley

Aaron Lee Patrick Cromley, 43, of St. Louis, died March 12, 2024.

He was born Aug. 6, 1980, in Jefferson City.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Amanda (née Drake), and children Alalia Linda, Wesley and Maximus; parents Alalia and Kirby Kraft of St. Louis, Dennis and Christine Cromley of Lee’s Summit; siblings Nelia (Tim) Aubuchon of St. Louis, Joshua (Linda) Cromley of St. Louis, Kaitlan (Greg) Schwartz of St. Louis, Emily (Michael) Kraft-Tran of Portland, Oregon, Melissa (David) Dossett of Lee’s Summit, and Marc (Julie) Davies of Kennesaw, Georgia; in-laws Mark and Linda Drake of St. Louis, Lori (Richy) Jones of Bloomington, Illinois, Aaron (Stacey) Drake of St. Louis; nieces and nephews Lily, Elise, Hazel, Charlotte, Madison, Levi, Eleanor, Theodore, Zekiah, Minh-Joe, Brooke, RaQuel, Mia, David, Keilah, Lillian, Mark, Derrick, Noah, Ella, Seth, Anna, Alex, Hudson and Isaac; great-niece Natalya; and a multitude of extended family and friends.

Aaron was preceded in death by his grandparents Wesley and Evalene McCarty, Patrick and Hellen Cromley, William and Margaret Kuss, Garfield and Shirley Kraft, his brother Matt Davies and his niece Kendra Jones.

Aaron attended schools in Lee’s Summit, MO and Troy, IL and was homeschooled in high school. He attended Lindenwood University for his undergraduate and master’s degrees and was a member of their lacrosse team. He delighted in telling everyone about the 30+ jobs he worked over the years before finally settling into his career at FedEx Office for the past eight years. Aaron found his joy and purpose being a family man and loved his role as husband to Amanda and was so proud of his children, Alli, Wesley and Max. Aaron and Amanda were married on March 14, 2009, the date specifically chosen so he could tell everyone that he married his love on “pi day.” The births of his children were some of his most treasured experiences and he loved everything about being their daddy.

Aaron was a dedicated follower of Jesus who was active in several churches over the years. Grace Union has been his family’s church home for many years. His family and friends will miss his purposeful off-key singing at birthday celebrations, his unique sense of humor and style, and the love and loyalty he freely gave to those he loved.
