The Oakville Senior High School wrest-ling program historically has been outstanding, fielding some of the best teams you will find in the state of Missouri.
In the 2002-2003 season, despite having some outstanding wrestlers, not many people expected the Tigers to do much of anything.
With each passing week, though, the Ti-gers are gaining the attention and respect of more and more people who follow the sport.
The Oakville Tournament last weekend was no exception.

At the 103-pound class, Laymart Hunt had a perfect weekend, going 5-0, as did 152-pounder Eric Schmidt. Both, according to Vogel, were very solid.
“They were fantastic,” he said. “Schmidt had been at 160, but dropped down and did a great job.”
Also having a great weekend for Oak-ville was Kyle Folle, who wrestles at 125 pounds. Folle, only a freshman, went 4-1 in the tournament and turned some heads – again.
“He’s just not afraid of anybody,” Vogel
