St. Louis County Library and Cardinals Care unveiled St. Louis County Library’s newest Cardinals-themed bookmobile at Bierbaum Elementary School on Dec. 3.
The bookmobile – essentially a portable library – holds a collection of approximately 5,000 books featuring a wide range of authors, genres and age levels. There’s also a dedicated Cardinals shelf featuring book selections made by Cardinals players, alumni and team mascot Fredbird.
“I’d like to thank Cardinals Care for their support of this project,” St. Louis County Library Director and CEO Kristen Sorth said.”Both Cardinals Care and the St. Louis Cardinals have been longtime supporters of the library. Their investment in literacy has made a real impact on our community and we know that the new Cardinals Care Bookmobile will continue that legacy and will help open up a world of discovery and enjoyment for students for years to come.”
