The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s office on Sept. 29 issued warrants on Thomas S. Calloway, 27, of the 800 block of Bittner Street in St. Louis, for one count of first-degree robbery and one count of first-degree burglary, according to a county police news release.

Calloway is being held on a $50,000 bond.

Shortly after 8 p.m. Sept. 28, St. Louis County Police officers and detectives responded to the 2600 block of Deloak Drive in Oakville for a report of a home invasion and robbery.

The male homeowner stated that the suspect, later identified as Calloway, first knocked on his door but then forced his way into his apartment and demanded money, according to the release.

The victim stated that the suspect ransacked his apartment and left with his telephone and the keys to his black 1993 Cadillac CTS, the release stated.

A St. Louis County Police officer assigned to the Affton Southwest Precinct saw the stolen vehicle traveling northbound on Interstate 55. The officer, along with an officer assigned to the St. Louis County Highway Safety Unit, stopped the Cadillac CTS and arrested Calloway, the only occupant of the vehicle.

The stolen vehicle and telephone were returned to the victim, the release stated.
