Ralph and Bernice Romine, longtime residents of Kirkwood, observed their 65th wedding anniversary Oct. 10.
Mr. and Mrs. Romine were married Oct. 10, 1943, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Des Peres.
Mr. Romine was born in Rolla. Mrs. Romine was born in Chesterfield. The couple met at an outdoor dance at Schaeffer’s Grove on Wild Horse Creek Road.
Mr. Romine served in the U.S. Army during World War II from August 1941 to December of 1945. He was in the 75th Division that fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded a Bronze Star.
The couple have three children: Barry (Cathy) Romine, Barb Romine and Betty and (Jim) Williams.
The couple have four grandchildren.
