The Missouri Department of Transportation is holding an open house-style public meeting next week about the Route 231 safety and resurfacing project.

The two-year project includes resurfacing the roadway and making improvements to pedestrian facilities along Route 231 between Franru and Laredo, Kingston Drive between Laredo and Grant Road, and South Broadway between Grant Road and St. Louis city limits.

Residents who use Route 231 between Franru Lane and the City of St. Louis may want to attend next week’s meeting, which is Thursday, July 27 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Hancock Place School District Central Office, 9417 S. Broadway, 63125.

MoDOT engineers will share information about possible improvements along the corridor and what the community thinks about those improvements. There will be no formal presentation.
