Metro will conduct a public hearing from 2 to 6 p.m. today — Sept. 11 — at the Tesson Ferry Branch County Library, 9920 Lin Ferry Drive, to discuss the future of MetroBus, MetroLink and Metro Call-A-Ride.
Metro officials will discuss possible reduction or expansion of Metro services in the future. Much of those plans depend on county voters’ reaction in the Nov. 4 election to Proposition M, a countywide half-cent sales-tax increase to be used for Metro-Link light-rail expansion and operations.
Prop M would raise an estimated $80 million a year for operation of Metro’s bus system and MetroLink and also an eventual expansion of the light-rail line to Westport and Florissant.
