The Mehlville School District received the best possible rating on its financial audit for the fiscal year that ended June 30.
“Overall, the district received, in school terms, an A-plus,” Al Kirchhofer, a certified public accountant with Daniel Jones & Associates, told the school board last week.
In auditing terms, he added, the district received an unqualified opinion, the best opinion available. Three Daniel Jones employees spent a week on-site at the school district’s offices conducting part of the audit, which overall took the company about two months and 180 to 200 hours to complete, Kirchhofer noted.
