Three incumbents took their oaths of office and were sworn onto the Mehlville School District Board of Education once more at the board’s April 23 meeting. Board members Peggy Hassler, Jean Pretto and Jeff Wolman all ran unopposed in the April 7 election.
After Hassler, Pretto and Wolman took their oaths, the school board began the process of reorganizing. The board reappointed Hassler as president.
“(Hassler) has done a phenomenal job of leading this board in a forward direction, always realizing that it’s always for the students, and we’re just here to help,” Wolman said.
Tori Behlke was reappointed as vice president. Director Patrick McKelvey said, “Tori has been incredibly selfless in her leadership of this district, and I think she would be a great choice as vice president.”
Marshall Crutcher, the school district’s Chief Financial Officer, was unanimously reappointed as treasurer. The one shake-up on the board was Pretto’s appointment as secretary, a position which was previously held by Wolman. She was approved unanimously.
“Jean has been with the board for a long time,” Director Ann Zimpfer said. “She has been a leader in our school district and in our community as well.”
