A total of 842 students last week received high school diplomas from the Mehlville School District.
Mehlville Senior High graduated 374 students during its program at the Family Arena, while Oakville Senior High awarded diplomas to 468 students during its program at the UMB Bank Pavilion.
Seven Mehlville High students compiled a perfect 4.0 grade-point average and earned valedictorian honors: Katie Buckley, Matthew Gleiforst, Michael Heins, Afkar Ismail, Emily Lloyd, Stephen Mues and Katherine Stuckmeyer.
Staci Harvatin and Benjamin Kellison were honored as the class salutatorians.
Mehlville High’s Class of 2006 earned scholarships totaling a four-year value of $2,078,775. Of the 374 Mehlville graduates, 328 indicated they will attend college, pursue vocational training or enlist in the military.
Oakville High saw 18 students post a perfect 4.0 grade-point average and earn valedictorian status: Steven Andrews, Gregory Dambach, Madelyn Diekemper, Stacey Goebel, Jennifer Graser, Katherine Huffman, Alyssa Kernen, Samuel Kriegel, Sarah Leininger, Kathryn Loesch, Laura Marquardt, Lauren Mosley, Amy Reed, Jeffrey Royer, Brandon Smith, Kevin Stockmann, Michael Wacker and Mallory Winkler.
Oakville had four students selected as salutatorians: Rebecca Beetz, Matt Mild, Kate O’Heron and Rebecca Wooge.
Oakville’s Class of 2006 earned a four-year value of $3,681,927 in scholarship money. Of the 468 Oakville graduates, 431 indicated they will attend college, pursue vocational training or enlist in the military.
Elvir Begic and Krista Stewart of Mehlville High also were recognized for achieving perfect attendance during all four years of high school.
