St. Louis HELP is hosting a medical equipment collection drive Oct. 9 to help provide equipment to the uninsured, elderly, veterans, children, poor and disabled.
HELP targets at-risk populations to provide a “strong and viable safety net.”
South County drop off location is Assumption Catholic Church, 4725 Mattis Road. See more locations at stlhelp.com.
HELP receives 10,000 pieces of medical equipment every year and diverts a large portion of that from going straight to a landfill.
“The need for free home medical equipment is out there, and it isn’t going away,” Executive Director Laura Singer stated. “Why not recycle and reuse this equipment? It just makes sense.”
