Steve and Janet McAllister of Oakville recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. 

Janet (nee Maas) and Steve were married on Feb. 7, 1975, at Jennings Church of Christ in Jennings, Missouri. 

The couple met in Spanish class in high school and later went to college together. Janet worked in market research and Steve in financial management. Since retirement, both enjoy spending more time with their grandchildren, family and friends, traveling and various hobbies and interests. 

Together they have three married children – daughters, Jacqueline (Ross) and Julia (Mark) and son, Steven (Jessica) – as well as seven grandchildren.
