No tickets matched all six numbers to win the $360 million Powerball jackpot last night, but someone matched all five white-ball numbers in the drawing to win a $1 million prize with a ticket purchased at Telegraph Liquors, 5661 Telegraph Road in Oakville.
“We want to remind players to check their tickets closely,” May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery, stated in a news release. “Even though you might not have matched all six numbers, you may have won one of the eight other prizes.”
Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot will roll to $475 million — the second largest ever — for Saturday night’s drawing.
Another player in Missouri also matched four white-ball numbers and the Powerball to win $10,000. That ticket was sold at QuikTrip, 16100 Manchester Road, in Ellisville.
In all, more than $1.3 million in Powerball prizes, ranging from $4 to $1 million, were sold in Missouri. The winning numbers were: 2, 11, 26, 34, 41, and the Powerball number was 32.
Reardon also reminds players to play within their means.
“It only takes one ticket to win,” she stated.
Players have until 8:59 p.m. Saturday to purchase Powerball tickets in Missouri.
Besides Powerball, the Mega Millions jackpot for Friday night’s drawing is also high an estimated $190 million.
