After scoring in the 92nd percentile on the 2026 National German Exam, submitting several essays, successfully completing an interview with Dr. Carol Jenkins of Washington University — the Missouri President of the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG) — and acing a second standardized test to prove her knowledge, Lindbergh High School junior Daniela Miletic has earned a prestigious, all-expense-paid summer study trip to Germany.
She was one of only 36 students nationwide to receive this honor from AATG. The study trip, now in its 66th year, is made possible through a grant from the Federal Republic of Germany.
When the school year ends, Miletic will travel to Brandenburg, Germany for a traditional homestay with a German family, participating in excursions to sites of cultural and historical significance.
Read more about Miletic and her summer study trip in a future print edition of The Call.
