Lindbergh High Curriculum Night planned

Parents and students who attend or will attend Lindbergh High School in the fall are invited to a Curriculum Night Thurs-day, Feb. 10, in the high school auditorium and lobby, 4900 S. Lindbergh Blvd.

Pupils currently attending eighth grade and their parents are scheduled to arrive at 6 p.m. for a 30-minute introduction to the evening in the district auditorium, according to a Lindbergh news release. They then will be released to visit the different de-partment offerings.

Students currently attending the ninth, 10th and 11th grades and their parents can visit the event any time from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Faculty members will be available to discuss curriculum and course offerings in the auditorium lobby and throughout the 300 and 400 buildings, the release stated.

The purpose of Curriculum Night is to provide an opportunity for parents and students to review, explore and seek information about courses selected for the upcoming school year.

Students and parents can follow a guided tour, view textbooks, see projects and ex-perience the course offerings. The course planning process occurs from today, Jan. 20, through Friday, Feb. 11. Students, with the assistance of parents, counselors and instructional staff, will have time to evaluate their course choices in relation to their academic and career plans.

Students should review and revise their four-year academic plan before making course selections for next year. The counseling staff also will also be available to assist students and parents with questions.
