The Spirit of St. Louis Marching Band — a band composed of students from Lindbergh High School — took home two new achievements on Oct. 14 at the River City Showcase in O’Fallon. The band earned Top Music and Effect, as well as first place in both the preliminaries and finals.
“This achievement, combined with their first-place win in September, shows how dedicated the students are to bringing their best selves out there,” stated a report for the Lindbergh Schools Board of Education.
The competition was held at Fort Zumwalt North High School, where 14 competitive bands from across the area faced off. Lindbergh’s competition show, which is called “Why So Serious?” led them to win first place. Earlier this season, in September, the Spirit of St. Louis Marching Band won first place in its division at the Metro East Marching Classic.
