On June 20, Boyd and Ann (White) LaBeau celebrated 70 years of marriage.

They were married in the St. Charles Courthouse. This marriage produced three sons. Marc married Sue (nee Peterson), Ron married Sandy (nee McClaren) and Dave married Diane Ramsey.
Boyd is a retired carpenter, local Union 2119 now local Union 97. Part of Ann’s career was spent as the office manager of MBA LaBeau Wood, Erectors — a company they established in 1985. Through the company, both were able to work in almost all of the United States and even bid work in France.
In 1992, the American Institute of Architects presented MBA Wood Erectors a Honor Award for Excellence in Architecture for their work on St. George’s Episcopal Church in Belleville, Illinois. Approximately 95% of their work was erecting church sanctuaries with laminated wood arches and beams. Boyd and son, Marc, worked with cranes doing all high work in their careers as carpenters. Locally, Faith Lutheran, Peace Lutheran, St. Paul’s UCC and St. Joseph’s in Kimmswick are just a few of many projects.
Over the years their family has grown to six grandchildren: Amie (Justin) Richter, Luke (Lindsey) LaBeau, Jacob (Sarah) LaBeau, Annie (Cody Wolf), Joshua LaBeau and Toni LaBeau; and 15 great grandchildren: Danielle (Scott) Barron, Madeline LaBeau, Logan LaBeau, Gavin LaBeau, Mason LaBeau, Noah LaBeau, Jadon LaBeau, Faith LaBeau, Mason Wolf, Levi Wolf, Oliver Wolf, August Wolf, Avery Wolf, Xxavier LaBeau and Charles Williams.
Recently, Eloise Barron joined her cousin Leo LaBeau as the couple’s second great-great-grandchild.
