Jessica Rapp, daughter of Steve and Lisa Rapp of Oakville, and Iain Shaw, son of Eleanor Shaw of Blackburn, Scotland, and Ian Shaw of Uphall, Scotland, announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
Ms. Rapp earned a Bachelor of Science degree in linguistics from Truman State University before living and working in Beijing, China as a journalist. She is now a freelance business and fashion writer in St. Louis.
Her fiancé, Shaw, graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in politics and history before pursuing a journalism career for almost 15 years in China. He now writes about the local restaurant scene for St. Louis Magazine.
