Incredible Pizza — a staple for birthday parties, family outings and pizza lovers — has announced that it will close its South County location after Aug. 17. It is the only location of America’s Incredible Pizza Company in the St. Louis region, at 5254 S. Lindbergh Blvd.
The pizza company opened its doors to St. Louisans in December 2012, offering a slew of slices in its buffet, as well as arcade games and go-karts to keep families entertained. The summer closing was attributed to changes in consumer behavior and local demand in the St. Louis market.
“The decision to close our St. Louis location was incredibly difficult because of the wonderful families and team members we’ve had the privilege to serve and work alongside,” executive vice president of America’s Incredible Pizza Company, Ashley McGuire, said in a news release. “This moment is bittersweet, but we want to end our time in St. Louis on a joyful note, with gratitude and celebration.”
The pizza company was founded in 2001, and all other locations — in cities like Memphis, San Antonio, Tulsa and Springfield, Missouri — are expected to stay open.
