The Sappington-Concord Historical Society will host its annual “biggest, little” Memorial Day celebration Monday.

This year’s event will begin at 9 a.m. Monday, May 27 on the green at St. Lucas United Church of Christ, 11735 Denny Road.

The family-friendly event is free and open to the public.

Mehlville Fire Protection District Assistant Chief Dan LaFata will be the guest speaker. He has worked for MFPD since 1995.

This year’s event will also include a ceremonial flyover by a local group of Stearman Biplane aircraft owners, a peace dove release and musical performances by Lauren Hoggatt, the Moolah Drums Corps and the Lindbergh High School Spirit of St. Louis Marching Band.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, and parking will be available on the east parking lot at St. Lucas.
