Born in St. Louis, Mrs. Sanders resided in St. Louis.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Jim Wamhoff and Pam and Jon Roeder; sisters, Dolores Ryan and Mae McCuddy; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Sanders, and son, Leo Sanders Jr.

Services were at Cure of Ars Catholic Church. Burial was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. The family was served by Kutis South County Chapel.
