Green Park has begun a search for a new city administrator/city clerk as current City Administrator/City Clerk Diana Mize is set to leave that position Friday.
City officials said Mize resigned last week after accepting a new job as an operations manager with Anheuser-Busch.
Mize had served as city administrator and city clerk since July 2002.
Ward 1 Alderman Judy Betlach said annual compensation for the city’s new city administrator/city clerk would be in the $50,000 range.
Betlach and Mayor Tony Konopka said while they are disappointed to see Mize leave, they are optimistic the city will find a suitable city administrator.
“It’s a shame that the pre-election conditions were such that she was motivated to look elsewhere for employment,” Betlach said. “I believe she had excellent qualifications and I hope that we will have someone with her similar qualifications because the current mayor will allow that person to do the work.”
