The Missouri Department of Transportation will close Green Park Road under Interstate 55 overnight starting Monday.

The road will be closed under I-55 from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. each night from Monday, Dec. 4 through Saturday, Dec. 9 as crews work on the interstate bridge over the roadway.

During the closure, any trucks leaving the industrial area on the west side of the area can detour using Green Park Road, Route 21 and Lindbergh Blvd. Cars can use Mueller Road, Lindbergh and Union Road to detour around the closure.

The closure was first scheduled for Nov. 27 through Saturday, but was postponed due to scheduling issues.

The work is part of MoDOT’s larger I-55 bridge rehabilitation project, which involves rehabbing several bridges along I-55 between Interstate 44 in St. Louis city and Lindbergh Boulevard in South County. The project is expected to end in spring 2025.
