Green Park aldermen name deputy city clerk

Green Park aldermen voted unanimously last week to appoint a deputy city clerk, fix the salary of the city administrator and renew the lease agreement for City Hall.

The board voted 6-0 Oct. 19 to approve an ordinance appointing Diane DeLonjay as deputy city clerk. She will be paid $18.75 an hour.

The ordinance also sets City Administrator Zella Pope’s salary at $49,619 a year.

Any future pay adjustments for the two positions will be made through the budget process, according to the ordinance.

Aldermen also voted 6-0 to approve an ordinance renewing the lease agreement for City Hall, which is in the Green Park Professional Building at 11100 Mueller Road.

Green Park occupies two suites in the building, which is owned and managed by Thomas and Ruby O’Driscoll.

Under the renewed agreement, Green Park will pay $3,175 a month for the five-year period of Nov. 1, 2009, through Oct. 31, 2014.

At that time, city officials would have the option to renew the lease agreement again for the five-year period of Nov. 1, 2014, through Oct. 31, 2019.

Monthly rent would increase to $3,969, according to the approved lease agreement.
