St. Louis County Library now offers free notary services at all branches. Notary services are available Monday through Saturday during normal library hours, but not less than 15 minutes before closing. Service is dependent on staff availability. More information is available at www.slcl.org/notary-services.
Patrons who wish to have items notarized should plan to bring the following:
• Completed, unsigned document(s) to be notarized. Documents can be signed prior to appearing before a notary for acknowledgements only.
• A witness or witnesses, if required by your document
• A valid, unexpired state ID, federal ID, or other government ID with signature and photos (such as a driver’s license, state ID card, US military ID, or US passport)

Free notary services are the latest effort by St. Louis County Library to help remove barriers to access. All SLCL branches offer free services such as free wi-fi, public computers and scanning. Each branch is equipped with a small business center, where patrons can fax, copy and print documents for a small fee. Wi-fi hotspots and Chromebooks are available to check out for two weeks with a valid library card.
Program sites are accessible. With at least two weeks’ notice, accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities. Call 314-994-3300 for information.
