Two additional candidates are running for the 97th District state House seat next year.
Incumbent Rep. Walt Bivins, R-Oakville, cannot run again in 2010 because of term limits. However, four Republicans have announced their intent to run for that open seat. Besides Chris Brown and Jerry Little, whose third-quarter campaign finance reports the Call reported last week, Republicans Gary Fuhr and Bill Zobrist since have informed this newspaper of their candidacy in the 97th District.
In his third-quarter campaign committee report to the Missouri Ethics Commission in October, Fuhr reported total contributions and expenditures of $15,375 and $768.94, respectively. He has $14,556.06 on-hand.
Zobrist’s campaign committee filed its statement of organization with the MEC on Oct. 27, after the deadline to submit third-quarter disclosure statements.
