Three university students from the South County area each received $5,000 scholarships thanks to the generosity of a former Lindbergh Schools principal.
Dr. Mary Louise Zieger, a former principal in the Lindbergh School District, left an endowment to Southminster Presbyterian Church in Crestwood to be used as scholarships for students in the congregation going into the field of education.
The scholarships were awarded to Grace Vander Tuig, a second-year student at the University of Missouri pursuing a career in elementary education; Paige Kelley, a third-year student at the University of Missouri also pursuing a career in elementary education; and Hannah Vander Tuig, a senior at the University of North Texas pursuing a career in music education.
