Grantwood Village Board of Trustees Treasurer Cathy Forand recently was recognized for her 20 years of service as a trustee.
Forand, who was sworn in as a trustee on Oct. 10, 1989, was honored during the October meeting of the Board of Trustees that was attended by former Grantwood Village officials, neighbors and friends.
Sen. Eric Schmitt of Glendale presented Forand with a resolution from the Missouri Senate in recognition of her service and leadership in Grantwood Village over the past 20 years.
Other accolades presented to Forand in honor of her service to Grantwood Village included a congratulatory letter from U.S. Sen. Kit Bond of Missouri and a resolution from the County Council.
“… It really means a lot to me to have everybody here … We’ve been through a lot these 20 years and I think we’ve really grown as a community …,” Forand said.
