Filing for municipal, school board seats scheduled to begin Tuesday

Filing will open Tuesday, Dec. 12, for most municipal and school board seats and one seat on the Mehlville Fire Protection District Board of Directors up for election Tuesday, April 3.

Filing will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, and continue through 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17.

Aldermanic seats are up for election in the cities of Crestwood, Green Park and Sunset Hills next spring.

In addition, the post of mayor is up for election in Green Park.

Two seats on both the Lindbergh and Mehlville boards of education also are up for election April 3.

Crestwood

Aldermanic seats held by Richard Breeding of Ward 1, Jim Kelleher of Ward 2, Jerry Miguel of Ward 3 and Pat Duwe of Ward 4 are up for election. The seats carry three-year terms.

Due to term limits, Breeding and Duwe are ineligible to seek re-election.

In Crestwood, filing will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19.

Green Park

Aldermanic seats held by Bob Reinagel of Ward 1, Chuck Deters of Ward 2 and Mark Hayden of Ward 3 are up for election. The seats carry two-year terms.

In addition, the mayor post currently held by Steve Armstrong is up for election in April. The mayoral post also carries a two-year term.

Sunset Hills

Aldermanic seats held by Michael Sawicki of Ward 1, John Littlefield of Ward 2, Jan Hoffmann of Ward 3 and Donald Parker of Ward 4 are up for election. The seats carry two-year terms.

Lindbergh School District

Board of Education seats held by Robert Bader and Vic Lenz are up for election. The seats carry three-year terms.

Under state law, if the number of school board candidates who file is equal to the number of positions to be filled by the election, no election will be conducted.

However, if the number of candidates filing exceeds the number of positions, the election will take place April 3.

Mehlville School District

Board of Education seats held by Tom Correnti and Rita Diekemper are up for election. The seats carry three-year terms.

Under state law, if the number of school board candidates who file is equal to the number of positions to be filled by the election, no election will be conducted.

However, if the number of candidates filing exceeds the number of positions, the election will take place April 3.

Mehlville Fire Protection District

A seat on the Board of Directors held by Dan Ottoline Sr. is up for election. The seat carries a six-year term.
