This is in response to the letter by Michael J. Nolan from one of the cheap retirees.
Apparently Mr. Nolan doesn’t know much about economics. We’re in our second year of trying to survive without a cost-of-living adjustment while the prices of gasoline, food, utilities, taxes, medical bills, et cetera, continue to escalate.
Most of us spent every extra cent we earned trying to educate our own children.
Here is a thought: Exclude retirees from your Proposition C and put the tax burden on the working force, then we’ll see who is cheap.
