A number of local primary races were decided in elections on Tuesday, Aug. 6.
Among the key races for South County, 6th District Councilman Ernie Trakas, R-Oakville, lost his reelection bid in the Republican primary for a third term against attorney Mike Archer. Archer will now face former Mehlville School District Board of Education president Kevin Schartner in the General Election on Nov. 5.
In the Republican primary for the Missouri House of Representatives 92nd District, Kenneth Abram defeated Cijo Mathews to run against Rep. Michael Burton, D-Lakeshire, in November.
Here are the unofficial election results from St. Louis County with 100% of precincts reporting. Results are unofficial until confirmed in two weeks.

Kenneth Abram – 2,196 votes or 76.22%

Ann Wagner – 37,498 votes or 67.71%
Peter Pfeifer – 17,882 votes or 32.29%

St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell was successful in his Democratic primary challenge of progressive congresswoman Cori Bush, who represents Missouri’s 1st District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Maria N. Chappelle-Nadal – 3,257 votes or 2.630%

Bell will now face Andrew Jones, winner of the Republican primary for the 1st District, in the General Election.

Mike Hebron – 3,239 votes or 20.714%

Meanwhile, U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley will be challenged by Democrat Lucas Kunce, who won his primary Tuesday.

Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe successfully earned the Republican nod for governor in a field that included Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft and state Sen. Bill Eigel. State Rep. Crystal Quade is the Democratic nominee. Several other statewide primaries were also decided Tuesday, including secretary of state and lieutenant governor.
County Council:
Two other County Council races also had Democratic primaries.
In North County’s 4th District, Shalonda Webb overcame a challenge by former 4th District Councilwoman Rochelle Walton Gray.

Rochelle Walton Gray – 7,668 votes or 33.39%
In the 2nd District, incumbent Kelli Dunaway declined to run again. That race went to Gretchen Bangert.

Gretchen Bangert – 7,128 votes or 43.11%
Nicole Greer – 7,018 votes or 42.44%
