Edward N. and Barbara Jean Warden celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary March 16 with their family at home.
Mr. Warden and the former Barbara Jean Roth were married March 16, 1963, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in St. Louis by the Rev. John Ott.
Mr. Warden worked as a machinist — International Association of Machinists, District 9. He worked for 20 years at Crown Cork and Seal. He retired from Anheuser-Busch after 16 years. He also served in the Army 1st Calvary Division and was stationed in Korea.
Mrs. Warden volunteered with the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Mother’s Club and PTA. She later worked at Sigma Chemical Co. as a proofreader and Gateway Apparel in accounting and merchandising.
They are the parents of four: David Warden of O’Fallon, Catherine (Kevin) O’Brien of Fenton, Christina (Kevin) Krask of High Ridge and the late William Joseph Warden.
The couple have four grandsons, William Warden, Steven Warden, Shawn Krask and Aaron Krask.
Over the past few years, they have traveled to Hawaii, Alaska, the New England States and the Pacific Northwest Coast.
