The four candidates running in the Democratic primary for county executive will meet in a debate at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The Aug. 4 election will decide which Democratic candidate runs in November for county executive: incumbent County Executive Sam Page, businessman Mark Mantovani, Jamie Tolliver or county Assessor Jake Zimmerman.

St. Louis Public Radio, KSDK Channel 5 and the Nine Network (Channel 9) are again partnering to host an hourlong St. Louis County Executive Democratic Primary debate at Nine Network’s studio in St. Louis and simulcast on all three networks.

St. Louis Public Radio political reporter Jason Rosenbaum, 5 On Your Side political editor Casey Nolen and Nine Network’s Ruth Ezell will moderate the debate, which will not have a studio audience due to COVID-19 restrictions. Ezell will facilitate and serve as the audience correspondent, curating questions for the participants through social media.

Voters wanting to learn more about the candidates can also find the most comprehensive answers by the candidates to any questions in the St. Louis Call’s candidate questionnaire.
