The Crestwood-Sunset Hill Kiwanis Club will be creating a local satellite club to offer people in the community the chance to volunteer with children in need.

Those interested in joining the satellite club can attend an Information Night at Kirkwood Brewing Company, 105 E. Jefferson, between 6 to 8 p.m. to learn more about Kiwanis, service opportunities, and impacting youth in the community.

The satellite club will give members the opportunity to attend monthly meetings while getting involved with community service.

The club is designed to support the Kiwanis mission “to empower communities to improve the world by making lasting differences in the lives of children,” according to a news release from the Crestwood-Sunset Hills Kiwanis Club.

The Crestwood-Sunset Hills Kiwanis Club has over 50 years of history in the community after being founded in 1963. The majority of efforts benefit children in Crestwood, Sunset Hills and surrounding areas.
