Crestwood city clerk to resign, effective in January

Crestwood City Clerk Kimberly Cottle recently informed city officials that she in-tends to resign from her post in January.

She has been city clerk since November 2004.

City Administrator Frank Myers said Sunday that Cottle is resigning because her husband has been hired as a church pastor in South Carolina. City officials posted the upcoming opening for the city clerk’s position Friday and are engaged in an internal and external search for candidates.

Due to the Call’s early press time this week, a more detailed story on the city clerk search and Cottle’s resignation will be printed next week.
