The Crestwood TIF Commission is holding a public hearing June 17 to hear comments from the public regarding Dierbergs’ proposed redevelopment plan for the Crestwood mall site.

The hearing will be conducted online via Zoom at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 17.

In anticipation of significant public response, the city of Crestwood is encouraging that comments be submitted in advance of the hearing, which will then be read into the record during the public hearing.

Comments must include a name and address and be no longer than 250 words to be admitted to the record. Submit comments to comments@cityofcrestwood.org until 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 16.

Developer Dierbergs proposes a $67 million redevelopment of half of the 46-acre site with $17 million in tax incentives, including $13.5 million in tax-increment financing.

Dierbergs has partnered with McBride Homes to redevelop the site. The $67 million plan does not include the cost to build the 81-home McBride subdivision on the other half of the property, which is not part of the TIF.
