A Crestwood Board of Aldermen candidate who had filed for the April 7 election passed away last week.

Michael E. Argent, 54, died Feb. 20.

Survivors include his wife, Christine (nee Butler); daughter, Nicole; sons Ryan, Justin, Jacob and Joseph; sister and brother-in-law Mary Therese and Ron Suchara; brother and sister-in-law Robert and Mary Argent; brother David Argent; sister Barbara Argent; brother and sister-in-law Mark and Cheryl Argent; and brother and sister-in-law John and Michelle Argent.

Mr. Argent is a son of the late Donald and Dorothy Argent.

He was a member of Our Lady of Providence Catholic Church in Crestwood, the Rotary Club of Sunset Hills-Crestwood and the Crestwood Sign Commission.

Services took place this week with a Feb. 23 visitation and Feb. 24 funeral at the Kutis Affton Chapel and Mass at Our Lady of Providence Catholic Church with interment at St. Paul Churchyard.

Mr. Argent had filed for a Ward 3 seat being vacated by Gregg Roby on the Crestwood Board of Aldermen. Paul Duchild and Jackie Bazell also filed for candidacy for the three-year seat.
