St. Louis County Library’s catalog will be unavailable the week of March 9-16 as the library prepares to launch a new shared catalog with St. Louis Public Library.
The change will require a library card for checkouts during that week, and any returned items will not be logged as such until March 17. Unavailable services include placing holds and renewing items, updating account information, reading history and lists, obtaining a new library card and making payments.
After the upgrade patrons will have access to an increased catalog of materials, delivery systems between public and county libraries and a 21 day check out period. PIN numbers are being reset as a result of the upgrade. The library stated 1234 or the last four digits of your phone number could work.
