Flu season is here and flu shots are now available. The St. Louis County Health Department released a statement Tuesday urging citizens to get flu shots before flu season is in full effect.
Currently flu shots and COVID vaccines can be received simultaneously and it is especially encouraged for children, pregnant people and the elderly. The flu and COVID share several similar symptoms — fever, cough, difficulty breathing, fatigue, sore throat, runny nose, body aches and headaches.
If you are experiencing any of those symptoms it is important to get tested for COVID.
BJC is also offering free flu vaccine events around the county.
