COMPASS II session on high schools planned

The fourth of six community-engagement sessions for the Mehlville School District’s COMPASS II — Charting the Oakville-Mehlville Path to Advance Successful Schools — is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 12, at Bernard Middle School, 1054 Forder Road.

Next week’s session will focus on improvements to the district’s two high schools — Mehlville and Oakville — that were recommended as part of the first phase of COMPASS.

Participants will break into groups by high school and will be asked to formulate a list of concerns and improvements for their school.

Afterward, participants will present the results of their discussions to the entire group and will have the opportunity to submit questions to a panel of district officials during a question-and-answer session.

A repeat of the high school COMPASS II session is scheduled from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 17, at Forder Elementary School, 623 W. Ripa Ave.
