To the editor:
What the city of Green Park needs is a couple of traffic cops.
I say this because in just a couple of weeks they could fill our already full coffers to overflowing. How? Just station them on Mueller Road in front of St. Simon School. That whole stretch is plainly marked 20 mph, just as it should be. But just try doing 20 mph.
I’ve tried doing it many times only to be chased by some idiot who is hugging my bumper, blowing their horn, shaking their fist and using language I’m sure is not fit for any place, especially a school zone.
You think I’m a really great guy, protecting the kids and all? Not really. I’m just trying to protect myself from the nitwits who roar their cars up so close behind me it seems their car is trying to determine the sex of my car. So let’s get those traffic cops stationed up there. I would love to pull up a chair on St. Simon’s parking lot and watch the fun.
