Santa is coming to Crestwood next week, for the fifth year in a row.

Santa will arrive on a fire truck for Christmas in Crestwood at City Hall, 1 Detjen Drive, at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1.

He will greet children and pose for photos until 1:30 p.m., then he will take off in a classic car parade at 2 p.m.

Children can also tour the firehouse at the Crestwood Fire Department and meet furry friends to pet and adopt from the Crestwood Animal Shelter, along with enjoying cookies and holiday music.

New this year and to cut down on standing in line, pre-paid photo packages are required and can be ordered online at cityofcrestwood.org. Photo packages benefit Toys for School Kids. Santa will also be available for photos elsewhere in Crestwood throughout the holiday season.

New toys and nonperishable food items will be collected for Toys for School Kids and Prince of Peace Food Pantry.

The Classic Santa Car Cruise takes off between 2 and 3 p.m. Santa will cruise through Crestwood in a vintage Jeepster convertible accompanied by other classic automobiles, followed by the third annual car show from 3 to 6 p.m.

The grand finale to Christmas in Crestwood happens with a fireworks display at 7 p.m. The nonprofit organization behind Christmas in Crestwood promises a “fantastic” fireworks show at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 1420 Sappington Road. Overflow parking will be available at City Hall.
